If Clinton had taken action after the First WTC Bombing, there wouldn't have been a second time

Letters to Banner of Liberty from Around the World

In the past few days there's been quite a flurry of overseas commentary about my analysis of pro-terrorist John Pilger's article in the London Mirror which, incidentally, was used by at least one of the networks as "proof" that our English cousins are beginning to "oppose" U.S. bombing of the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Somehow, I don't think the British, and certainly not the Americans, have forgotten about the nearly 6000 people blown up in four airliners, the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, even if the media seems to have, while printing unsubstantiated claims of many civilian deaths in Afghanistan. We are not aiming at civilians. The al-Queda terrorists sent to the United States by Osama bin Ladn were.

Some of Pilger's admirers were upset when I called him "pro-terrorist': The liberals seem perfectly willing to call other people all kinds of names, but if anyone suggests their position supports evil, they can't stand it:

Subject: Re: Pro-terrorist Reporters Call for End to Bombing

In what way do American plans to run a pipeline from oil-rich Uzbek/Tadzik through Afghanistan and Pakistan to an Arabian Sea port make Afghanistan rich?

That kind of non-thinking will never enable you to grasp Pilger's truths. I know him; have met him. Your calling him "pro-terrorist" makes you a party to evil; to the terrorism that is murdering millions.

Jingoism, too, is evil; so please remove my name from your list.

However, Patricia from Atlanta, Georgia cut to the heart of Pilger's problems:

Subject: Your article regarding British reporter, Pilger

Where was this clown when it was first reported about torture of Afghan citizens by the taliban? Did he report this; did he help them? Does he ever write stories about the foreigners from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan who make up the taliban and who have destroyed many of their landmarks? Where are the stories denigrating monster bin laden for arming his group of barbarians instead of helping the poverty-stricken people? No matter what we do, the US and UK get blasted by some idiots who have no clue of what is really going on. Did he not hear that taliban had proposed poisoning the food we had sent over there? We might mistakenly bomb a place once, but not twice! Where are all the other countries with their food contributions? Pilger never once mentions that there are other sources of humanitarian relief for these people; are there any countries contributing? And now that we are helping at tremendous cd States is a wealthy country, it's okay for us to suffer unspeakable horror?

No wonder British support from citizens is slipping; of course, could be just a rumor press is starting in hopes that if said enough times, it might become true. So glad these reporters weren't in business during W.W.II or we would all be speaking German.

Appreciate your comments. (I just shudder to think of slick willie or his minion, algore, as Commander-in-Chief during this time. And so does most of America.)

And from Turkey, Linda reports:

Dear Mary,

I am writing this from Izmir, Turkey where my husband is a teacher here at the Department of Defense Dependent School. We have lived here for 21 years now and have been through many years of being aware of our surroundings. It is the normal way to be here in the city of about 4 million people in a country that has suffered from terrorism for many, many years. But, this does not stop us from enjoying ourselves as we live each day to the fullest.

You are one of my favorite writers--your common sense and well researched pieces are just what this US of A needs right now. The doom and gloom of mass media is sickening to me. I have even stopped purchasing the Stars and Stripes Newspaper. The TV is on now just to get some visual news, but I find myself yelling at the TV when cnn, abc, nbc and cbs is on!! Their opinionated news spins out of control. I only can watch Fox and be satisfied!! The way I get most of my news is to go to your site, Reagan.com, worldnetdaily.com, frontpagemagazine.com and newsmax.com.

The article you have posted today about the anthrax bioterror being a failure is what has prompted me to write to you. I have always been trying to look on the positive side in the midst of all of this tragedy. From the time I realized that the numbers of people who could have lost their lives in the WTC and Pentagon differed from the real numbers, I knew I would look at the news in another way. Now the anthrax scare. It is time that we all put this into perspective. You have done it with your well written words. This piece should be posted at those above sites (I already saw it at reagan.com!!).

I am now forwarding your message to all in my address book. Hopefully they too will forward it and your words will go to thousands. Have you sent on your daughter's theory to the White House? You should!! God Bless You and

God Bless US All.

Linda Scharff

Linda's got a good idea. It's amazing how fast a good idea can fly around the world, when people send them to their friends and their friends send it to their friends....

There were a number more articles on the analyses of the last couple of days. There does seem to be nearly an hysteria among those who want the bombing stopped in Afghanistan. One thing the death of nearly 6000 Americans should have taught us: If Clinton had taken in the first World Trade Center Bombing, there probably would not have been a second time.

The article she is referencing is: http://www.bannerofliberty.com/OS10-01MQC/10-31-2001.1.html - The Anthrax Bioterrorist Attack on America has FAILED!
